Christmas Card PR for Tarsila Krüse & Gaelscoil Áine
Project type
Media relations
This very local story ended up getting national and even some international coverage (Irish community in USA) and got a reach of 4.2 million people - and ensured the sell out of all the fundraising Christmas cards it was promoting.
This was a fun project with the award winning children's book author and illustrator Tarsila Krüse who made bespoke Christmas cards for an Irish speaking school called Gaelscoil Áine. The cartaí na nollaig (Irish for Christmas cards) were being sold to raise funds for a school library and other needs. I was able to get them significant local coverage and mentions on one of Ireland's most listened to radio programme - in addition to articles in the national press (including Irish Times and two Irish tabloid papers) - plus coverage with Irish newspapers in the USA.
The cards sold out and it helped raise awareness of the Irish language and of the school and Tarsila Krüse - and it also resulted in journalists wanting to speak with them again. PR done well gets results!
